Isuzu sales up 7% in July
MANILA, Philippines - Isuzu Philippines Corp.’s sales rose seven percent to 1,094 units in July from 1,023 units a year ago amid strong demand for light commercial vehicles and trucks.
Month-on-month sales saw a 14.6 percent increase from 955 units in June.
Strong demand for the D-MAX pickup drove the company’s sales for the review period with sales rising a solid 68.4 percent to 192 units in July from June’s 114 units.
Also supporting the car firm’s higher sales were the Isuzu Alterra sports utility vehicle and Crosswind Asian utility vehicle.

“The consistently robust performance of Isuzu’s light commercial vehicles reveals that there is a demand for value-laden, reliable, durable and fuel-efficient models across diverse segments in the local market,†IPC president Nobuo Izumina said.
“This is also an indicator of the positive outlook Filipinos have over the entire Philippine auto industry and the present health of the economy,†he added.
For the first seven months of the year, IPC’s sales reached 6,851 units, up from 6,792 units in the same period last year.
