Samsung Electronics names new SEA head

MANILA, Philippines - Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd, a global leader in digital media and digital convergence technologies, announced recently the appointment of KK Park as president of Southeast Asia headquarters effective immediately.

In his new role, Mr. Park will be leading all of Samsung Electronics’ businesses in Southeast Asia and Oceania, strengthening the company’s position in the region.

Prior to this appointment, Park served as the company’s first-ever president of Samsung Electronics Africa headquarters for over three years. Under his leadership, Park established Samsung Electronics’ presence in a new market, expanding the company’s operational infrastructure in Africa and achieving market-leading positions across business segments.

Before moving to Africa, Park was managing director of Thailand Samsung Electronics (TSE), where he delivered impressive growth through innovative approaches to distribution.

As a recognized expert in operational excellence and business management, Park will continue to build Samsung Electronics’ success in the Southeast Asia and Oceania region.

Samsung Electronics Southeast Asia headquarters’ outgoing president, Gregory Lee will be heading to Samsung Telecommunications America (STA) as its president to lead the company’s mobile business operations in the US.

During Lee’s leadership in Southeast Asia, the company achieved strong growth and market leadership across many product categories in the region.
