The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - Protocol is the universal language of diplomacy with a set of rules all countries and parties follow in the conduct of business, politics, and socials. A mastery of this will enable you to handle any type of person in all kinds of situation whether you are in marketing or management, negotiating or entertaining guests, friends or clients, dealing with people of different cultures, meeting with VIPs, foreign dignitaries and government officials, or simply chatting with one’s in-laws. Protocol often spells the difference between success and failure in business, in your career and in your personal life.

With the clamour of business leaders and government officials to learn this important subject, the Center for Global Best Practices (CGBP) in collaboration with the International Chamber of Commerce is holding a special seminar entitled, “Best Practices in Business Protocol” on June 19,  from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Peninsula Hotel, Makati City.

Full details of the program may be obtained from website www.cgbp.org or Manila telephone (02) 556-8968/69, Cebu (032) 512-3106 to 07 and Baguio at (074) 423-5148.

This special program will feature Ambassador Jose Abeto Zaide (Ret), the former chief of protocol of the Department of Foreign Affairs. As a career diplomat, he has 40 years of solid experience in diplomacy and foreign affairs, being assigned as Ambassador to the Federal Republic of Germany, Austria, Slovenia, Croatia and France.

Moreno, who is presently vice-chairman of the Center for Global Best Practices and concurrently holds the positions of chairman of the Philippine-Myanmar Business Council, executive director of the International Chamber of Commerce Philippines, and director for operations of the private sector-National Competitiveness Council (2008 to 2010).
