The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - In celebration of its 82nd anniversary and the launch of their most recent masterpiece – Capitol Commons, premiere property developer Ortigas & Co. brings world-class Filipino acts back to the local stage with the month-long Festival of World Class Filipinos at Capitol Commons.

From May 25 to June 15, each Saturday will feature Filipino artists who have received international acclaim for their talents.

On June 1, an art exhibit will showcase Filipino paintings and sculptures. The artwork will range from traditional subjects and forms to modern, statement pieces.

The home experts will take the stage on June 8. Starting 6 p.m., chefs Claude Tayag and Vicky Pacheco will reveal what makes them kitchen superstars with a special demo. An exhibit of beautifully designed contemporary Filipino furniture by Kenneth Cobonpue and Ito Kish will also be on display.

To cap off the festivities, models will be walking down the catwalk clad in fashion’s hottest names. The show on June 15 will feature Michael Cinco, Amina Aranaz,

Herbert Custodio, Roel Rosal and Albert Andrada. Mercato Centrale will organize a food market featuring different gustatory delights. All events are free and open to the public.
