MANILA, Philippines - Columbian Autocar Corp. (CAC), exclusive distributor of Kia vehicles in the Philippines, and SK Techno-lube Corp. (SKTL), distributor of SK-ZIC VHVI Tech lubricants have entered into a one-year multi-million peso agreement under which CAC has adopted SK-ZIC fully synthetic lubricants as the recommended lubricant, for use on 2011 -2012 KIA car models throughout CAC’s nationwide dealer and service centers.
Under the terms of the agreement, CAC-Kia will recommend SK-ZIC fully synthetic lubricants and make these available across all CAC-Kia ’s after sales service centers in the Philippines. CAC president Elena Mari Ginia R. Domingo said that with the agreement, all Kia car owners will not only enjoy the fullest benefits and performance of Kia vehicles, but also better engine protection and advanced fuel savings provided by top quality SK-ZIC VHVI Tech lubricants.
Sun Kim, area manager for South East/South West Asia and the Middle East, lubricants global marketing team of SK Lubricants of Korea, pointed out that SK-ZIC VHVI lubricants were developed in cooperation with major Korean automakers and SK lubricants is the largest supplier of factory-fill lubricants for Korean automakers and heavy equipment makers.
SKTL chairman Timmy G. Tan said Kia car owners will now be assured of pure and joyful driving experience with SK-ZIC lubricants that not only meet the latest American Petroleum Institute (API) SN & (API) CJ-4 rating, but also the International Lubricants Standardization Approval Committee (ILSAC) GF-5 (Resource Conserving) rating, for advanced fuel economy and lesser exhaust emission.
The event was attended by CAC president Elena Mari Ginia R. Domingo, director for aftersales – Apollo R. Rosal, VP for marketing – Hernando D. Gañac and other CAC aftersales managers. For SK Techno-lube, the attendees were led by Chairman Timmy G. Tan, president Orville Roque, CEO Vic Liu Jr., directors Antonio De Vera, Isagani Cabuay and Nathaniel Santos.
Also present were representatives from SK Lubricants of Korea, namely Sun Kim and Kiseok Cho, area manager for South East Asia – SK Lubricants Global Marketing Team. Special guests included Amb. Roberto Mayorga, of Chile, and Amb. Menashe Bar-on, of Israel.
