• VIPs flocked to the opening ceremony of the 45th annual meeting of the Asian Development Bank at the SMX Convention Center.

Some VIPs spotted during the event are: Finance Secretary Cesar Purisima, BSP Governor Amando Tetangco Jr, Socioeconomic Planning Secretary Cayetano Paderanga, SM’s Tessie Sy-Coson, Public Works Secretary Rogelio Singson, former Finance Secretary Margarito Teves, BIR Commissioner Kim Henares and former Tourism Secretary Alberto Lim.

• Makati Shangri-La was the caterer tapped for the May 2 and 3 activities at the SMX Convention Center. Food was overflowing during lunch hour and snacks are well provided but they ran out of brewed coffee in the morning of May 2.

• The exhibit hall at SMX Convention Center showcased different booths from private sector sponsors such as San Miguel Corp., Petron Corp. BMW, Hyundai, Credit Suisse among others.

• Dignitaries and guests arrived in their creaseless tuxedos while some Filipino guests came in Barong Tagalog. Some women came in Filipiniana attire. 

• The reporters also came in their formal wear.
