Acer names new sales manager

MANILA, Philippines - Acer Philippines, Inc., announced the appointment of a new sales manager in order to reinforce its leadership in the consumer market for PCs and other IT peripherals in the Philippines. Leading the consumer sales team will be its new consumer senior sales manager Wilhelm Gerard Ngo Uy. Uy will help Acer reach out to and strengthen further its presence in the consumer market, where his priority will be to push awareness about Acer’s outstanding and high-quality products like its notebooks, netbooks, desktop PCs, smartphones, tablets, PC monitors and projectors among consumers through effective and efficient sales and marketing strategies. Prior to his appointment, Uy was the business unit manager for a PC brand that he helped to create. He also handled special projects and tie-ups and helped launch various product marketing activities from conceptualization to actual implementation and execution.

This certified La Sallian was also formerly the Marketing Manager and Sales Manager of a popular distributor of PC components and other peripherals where he concentrated in his marketing and sales duties, which includes talking to suppliers and making sure that the sales team is able to meet its monthly sales targets.

Uy holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree, major in Computer Application, from the De La Salle University – College of St. Benilde in Manila and is a consistent Dean’s Lister during his entire college days.
