Global economist keynotes Security Bank eco forum

MANILA, Philippines -  Security Bank Corp. (SBC) holds its second economic forum for the year today at the Makati Shangri-La Hotel entitled “Perspectives on the Philippine Economy: Challenges and Opportunities Amidst Turbulent Times.”

The event has been known to gather the country’s top decision-makers from across different industries to attend the much-awaited “by invitation only” event.

Keynote speaker is Dr. Jay H. Bryson, Ph.D, managing director and global economist at Wells Fargo Securities, who flew in from the US to present an analysis on financial markets and macroeconomic developments in the major economies of the world. Dr. Bryson, has published articles in academic and popular economic journals and his comments have regularly appeared in the Wall Street Journal, New York Times, and USA Today. He also makes frequent appearances on CNBC and Bloomberg TV.

Other speakers include: Hubert D’Aboville, president of the European Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines, to present the foreign investors’ perspective and Antonio Jose Periquet, economist and former country strategist of Deutsche Regis Partners, who will share insights from the business sector.

David Celdran of ANC is guest host who will also moderate the open forum after the presentations.

Security Bank organizes this regular event in line with its continuing program to provide relevant business analysis and economic forecasts to its valued clients from the corporate, treasury, investment, commercial and retail banking segments.
