Steelcase firms tie-up in Phl

MANILA, Philippines - The office environment in the Philippines is now open up to a new dimension as Steelcase, the global leader in office furniture, recently formed a strategic partnership establishing Ultra Modular Concepts Inc., (UMCI) as its official distributor in the country. This union will enable Steelcase to further its goals of creating better work environments across the greater Asian region, dramatically expand Steelcase’s presence in Asia, and at the same time originate great experiences in the workplace.

The partnership was recently announced in an exclusive event attended by the who’s who in the design, construction and real estate industries. Hosted by Uli Gwinner, president of Steelcase Asia Pacific; and Wellington Soong, founder and chairman of Frigate Holdings, the occasion also introduced Steelcase’s Manifesto and Lexicon products. These innovative furniture lines were designed specifically for the Gen Y workforce now entering the corporate workplace in large numbers throughout Asia.
