Cebu Pacific ranks fifth most profitable budget airline worldwide

-

MANILA, Philippines - Cebu Pacific (CEB) has been ranked as the fifth most profitable value airline in the world, according to the July 2011 issue of Air Transport World (ATW).

ATW’s World Airline Report special feature cited CEB as fifth in net profit and eighth in operating profit in a list of international low-cost carriers, including the US’ Southwest Airlines and Europe’s Ryanair. The financial rankings were based on data for the most recent fiscal year.

A monthly magazine, ATW has been covering global airline and commercial air transport manufacturing for nearly 48 years.

“This is quite an achievement since it shows CEB’s financial management and sustainability as a business. Since 1996, CEB has been offering the lowest fares in all its destinations, and it will continue to do so for the benefit of the traveling public,” CEB VP for marketing and distribution Candice Iyog said.

“Because of every Juan’s continued support, we give back to our passengers with an all-domestic P99 seat sale,” she added.

The seat sale is on July 22, 2011 only or until seats last, for travel from Oct. 1 to Nov. 30, 2011.

Passengers can buy P99 seats to Bacolod, Boracay (Caticlan), Busuanga (Coron), Butuan, Calbayog, Cagayan de Oro, Catarman, Cauayan (Isabela), Cebu, Clark, Cotabato, Davao, Dipolog, Dumaguete, General Santos, Iloilo, Kalibo, Legazpi, Laoag, Manila, Naga, Ozamiz, Pagadian, Puerto Princesa, Roxas, San Jose (Mindoro), Siargao, Surigao, Tacloban, Tagbilaran, Tawi-Tawi, Tuguegarao, Virac and Zamboanga.

Passengers with check-in luggage may avail of prepaid baggage allowance, for travel savings as much as 63 percent on domestic flights. The seat sale fare is exclusive of government tax and fuel surcharge.

“CEB will get to offer its low fares to even more passengers as we take delivery of more Airbus A320 aircraft orders this year. We hope passengers can take advantage of our great value seat sales, convenient travel services and extensive route network,” Iyog said.
