MANILA, Philippines - The Center for Global Best Practices will hold a special 1.5-day seminar titled ‘Optimizing Tax Savings for Real Estate Transactions’ on July 28 & 29 at the EDSA Shangri-La Hotel, Mandaluyong City.

Learn trade secrets on how to save millions of pesos on relevant taxes in all your real estate transactions in this unique tax planning program. There are various tax avoidance schemes available under the law that would allow taxpayers, particularly those engaged in real estate business, such as real estate developers, contractors, buyers, sellers, brokers, lessors and owners of real property, to reduce tax liabilities without violating Tax Code provisions.

This comprehensive program will discuss the legally permissible means of avoiding taxes in real estate transactions. The lecture will also include updates, examples, new regulations and specific situations that will be discussed thoroughly to guide participants in executing their plans or solving their tax problems and issues effectively.

This special program will feature Victorino C. Mamalateo, CPA, who has 40 years of professional experience in tax practice. He spent 30 years with the BIR as a career service professional, including being an assistant commissioner. He has an extensive experience in handling tax assessment and refund cases before the Court of Tax Appeals and the Supreme Court.

Mamalateo has a master of laws degree and a certificate in International Tax from Harvard University. He has authored numerous tax books with best-selling titles such as Tax Rights and Remedies, VAT in the Philippines, Income Tax for Individuals, Philippine Income Tax, and Tax Treaties. He currently has his own law firm, V.C. Mamalateo & Associates.
