Airphil Express offers P113 seat sale

-

MANILA, Philippines - June 12, 1898 was the declaration of Philippine independence from the colonial rule of Spain 113 years ago. And Airphil Express, the country’s fastest growing budget airline, declares a P113 one-way fare for all domestic flights on board its redefined A320 aircraft. Selling period is from June 12 to 13 only and travel validity is from Oct. 1 to Nov. 30, 2011.

This special, one-time promotion is part of the company’s celebration of the country’s esteemed Flag Day.

“The Philippines is proud to have gained its freedom from the Spaniards’ imposing takeover 113 years ago. And no sweeter means to celebrate this valued independence than by traveling to some of the country’s beautiful destinations,” says Alfredo Herrera, Airphil Express senior vice-president for marketing and sales.

As Spain claimed the Philippines in 1521, its next 377 years were an era of conversion to Roman Catholicism. A number of islands within the Philippines were influenced by the strong centralized Spanish government. Note-worthy to visit are Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Cotobato, Davao, General Santos, Iloilo, Kalibo, Legazpi, Puerto Princesa, Tacloban, Tagbilaran and Zamboanga.

In Bacolod City Public Plaza, for instance, a display of the Philippine flag and a parade of various sectors of society is an enjoyable watch as the city celebrates the Philippine Independence Day.

On top of the P113 one-way ticket cost is Airphil Express’ complimentary value-adds like 15kg free check-in baggage allowance and a no-cost seven kg hand-carry. The country’s fastest growing budget airline also offers the best value-for-money travel services such as Web Check-In, Travel Insurance, Seat Selector, and Pre-Paid baggage.
