MANILA, Philippines - The Philippine Association of Secretaries and Administrative Professionals (PAS) proclaimed Jessica H. Lara, managing director of BASF Philippines Inc., as “2011 Executive of the Year,” in celebration of the Administrative Professionals’ Week.
PAS is an organization of administrative and office professionals in the Philippines. The Executive of the Year Award (EOY) is an annual award and recognition given by PAS to a business or corporate leader for her outstanding management qualities as an executive and for her development; as well as her significant contribution to the business community and society.
Previous EOY awardees include renowned and accomplished business leaders in the country. Lara is the second executive from BASF Philippines to have received this title. Jaime B. Mendoza, former managing director of BASF Philippines, was named Executive of the Year in 1996.
Lara started her career with BASF in 1988 and has held several key management positions in BASF in the Philippines. Since 2006 she has been managing director of BASF Philippines.
