Mazda sales up 13% in January-April
Manila, Philippines - Mazda Philippines reported yesterday sales of 1,080 units in the first four months of the year, a 13 percent increase over same period last year due to the continued strength of their popular cars and crossover SUVs.
In April, Mazda sold a total of 236 as a result of the strong performance of the Mazda2 and Mazda3. The Mazda2 saw April sales of 94 units, up 18 percent versus the same month last year. Sales of the popular sub-compact total 335 units in the first four months, representing a 55 percent increase from a year ago. The locally assembled Mazda3 continues to be the best-selling Mazda nameplate with year-to-date sales of 367 units.
“We are delighted to see Mazda’s momentum continue through the month of April, supported by a strong product line-up as well as engaging customer promotions – such as our ‘Make it Your Own Mazda’ campaign allowing customers the unique opportunity to personalize their car as well as their purchase,” said Mazda Philippines president Randy Krieger.
The Mazda CX-7 and Mazda CX-9 remain popular crossover SUVs with 48 and 15 units sold respectively in April. In the first four months of the year, sales of the Mazda CX-7 total 248 units, while the Mazda CX-9 saw sales of 88 units.
