MANILA, Philippines - The Golden Treasure Skills Development Program will conduct a one day seminar on laundry shop operation at the SMX Convention Center, Mall of Asia Complex, Pasay City on May 7, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
The seminar will give participants basic information on getting started on the business, sustaining operations, and possibly branching out.
Additional topics to be discussed are the basic types of services, the set-up of a laundry shop, equipment to use, workflows, pre-opening factors, marketing strategies, staffing, and organization.
Specific procedures on dry cleaning, including a demonstration on how to dry-clean, iron, a barong tagalog, gowns, etc. and how to aromatized the laundry will also be discussed.
There will also be an actual demonstration on how to make basic cleaning products use for laundry such as powder soap, fabric softener and liquid bleach.
Each participant will be given a certificate of training right after the seminar. Lunch and snacks will be served and all the materials will be provided including handouts.
