New law for manpower industry

MANILA, Philippines - The Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA) implemented a New Overseas Employment Law (RA 10022) effective May 6, 2010. This new law, which replaced RA 8042, will have a critical impact on all land and sea-based recruitment agencies and their insurers. To clear out all the confusion regarding this new bible of the overseas manpower industry, the Center for Global Best Practices, Inc. will hold a seminar titled “RA 10022: The New Overseas Employment Law” on April 14 & 15 at the EDSA Shangri-La Hotel, Mandaluyong City. This seminar will serve as a comrephensive guide to the official interpretation and implementation of this new law. This program is MCLE-accredited.
