Globe ready for holiday traffic
MANILA, Philippines - Globe Telecom said yesterday it is ready to serve the usual surge of calls and text messages during the Christmas and New Year holidays.
The company said it has taken steps to ensure that its subscribers will continue to enjoy its products and services through its reliable network service.
Globe postpaid subscribers will continue to enjoy the unlimited offers that are available through My Fully Loaded Plan and My Super Plan, including Duo and Superduo services. To easily get in touch with Filipinos abroad, Globe is extending the Globe IDD Sakto Calls promo until Dec. 31, 2010. Under the promo, Globe and TM subscribers can enjoy the most affordable international call rates at 15 centavos per second for calls to the United States (including Hawaii), United Kingdom, Malaysia, Canada, Singapore, Hong Kong, China, South Korea, Thailand, Taiwan, Australia, Kuwait, Equatorial Guinea and Saudi Arabia.
For its prepaid subscribers, all promotional offers of Globe and TM will run their course until their promo duration. There are selected prepaid promotional offers that are set to expire before Christmas, and these will be made available to subscribers starting Jan. 4, 2011. These include the SuperUnli for seven days and TM All Net Combo, which are available until Dec. 15, and TM Unlicombo and SuperUnli 25, which are available until Dec. 18 only. Existing Globe and TM prepaid promos for text like UnliTxt20, AstigTxt10, SuperAll Txt 20 and for voice like SuperCombo 20 and AstigCombo 20 for TM will all be available until Dec. 31, 2010.
“We want to give all our subscribers service quality at all times. During the holiday season when voice and text traffic are expectedly higher, we take the necessary measures to ensure that there is a balance between service quality and product availability for all types of subscribers, whether prepaid or postpaid,” Globe corporate and legal services group head Froilan Castelo said.
Castelo pointed out that they want to make sure that they can accommodate the demand of the season even while they give their subscribers the best value services that they are enjoying now. “This is meant to provide quality Globe services during the holidays where consistent and reliable connection is very important to all our customers,” he added.
With the introduction of Globe broadband services, Globe subscribers are also encouraged to send in their greetings not only through voice and text, but through the Internet as well using various social networking sites.
