Roche unveils blood glucose monitor

-

MANILA, Philippines - Roche Diabetes Care introduced its newest blood glucose monitor for people with diabetes who want to worry less and live more: The Accu-Chek Performa.

The new Accu-Chek Performa system has been designed to give users added confidence in their blood glucose testing. The Accu-Chek Performa system incorporates system checks before and after the blood drop is applied, helping ensure that each test result is correct. This virtually eliminates the need for re-testing – reducing the impact of blood glucose testing on a person’s life.

The Accu-Chek Performa system was developed in response to extensive international research with customers. As a result, the system delivers features that are most important to them.

These features include a small blood sample size, a short test time (five seconds), and alternative site testing capability. Additionally, the Accu-Chek Performa’s under-dosing detection ensures that the user will not get an incorrect reading due to an insufficient amount of blood applied to the strip.

The ‘easy fill tip’ on the Accu-Chek Performa test strip identifies and absorbs the sample quickly and efficiently. In the case that more blood is needed, the system notifies the user and allows them to apply more blood to the strip.

With more than 30 years experience in diabetes monitoring, Roche is committed to the early recognition of people’s requirements for effective diabetes self-management.
