Cebu Pacific increases international flight frequencies
MANILA, Philippines - Budget carrier Cebu Pacific (CEB) will increase the flight frequencies in eight of its major international routes due to rising demand and the timely arrival of three brand-new Airbus A320 aircraft in the last quarter of 2010.
Starting Dec. 4, 2010, its Manila-Hong Kong service will be five times daily, and starting Dec. 17, its Manila-Singapore service will be 32 times weekly.
Other popular international routes that will increase flights starting Dec. 16 are Manila to Kuala Lumpur and Brunei, which will become 10 times weekly and thrice weekly, respectively.
Meanwhile, flights from Manila to Ho Chi Minh and Jakarta will become daily and four times weekly, respectively, starting Dec. 19. In the first quarter of next year, CEB’s Manila-Seoul (Incheon) service will be twice daily, and its Manila-Bangkok service will be 10 times weekly.
“These are all part of our international expansion plan as we continue to take delivery of more brand-new Airbus A320 aircraft in the coming months,” CEB vice president for marketing and distribution Candice Iyog said.
CEB is also adding flights to select domestic destinations. The airline’s Cebu-Bacolod direct flights will be twice daily starting Nov. 24.
From Dec. 5, onwards, its Manila-Cebu flights will be 12 times daily, and Manila-Boracay (Caticlan) flights will be 11 times daily. Flights from Cebu to Puerto Princesa will also be increased from thrice weekly to seven times weekly.
Meanwhile, flights from Cebu to Boracay (Caticlan) and Gen. Santos will be twice daily on the same day.
Starting Dec. 16, Manila-Kalibo flights will be 16 times weekly, and Manila-Puerto Princesa flights will be four times daily starting Feb. 5, 2011.

“Guests without credit cards can also book online and use our payment centers to pay. These centers include Bancnet online, LBC, MegaLink, and partner banks Metrobank, BDO and Robinsons Savings Bank,” Iyog said.
CEB operates the youngest aircraft fleet in the country, and will take delivery of three brand new A320 aircraft in the last quarter of 2010. The airline flew the most number of domestic and international passengers in the first half of 2010, based on Civil Aeronautics Board data.
