RP not affected by Similac powder recall in US

MANDALUYONG CITY, Philippines  — Consumers in the Philippines should be assured that no products distributed by Abbott Nutrition are affected by the recent proactive, voluntary recall of some Abbott Nutrition products in the United States, Puerto Rico, Guam and some countries in the Caribbean.

“Parents and consumers can be assured that the products distributed by Abbott Nutrition in the Philippines are unaffected by the recall, and are of the same high quality and integrity as the products they know and trust,” said Thomas Karalis, general manager, Abbott Nutrition, Philippines.

Abbott initiated a voluntary, proactive recall of certain products as a precautionary measure in the US, Puerto Rico, Guam and some countries in the Caribbean due to a situation that was isolated to one production area in a single manufacturing facility in the United States.

No products distributed by Abbott Nutrition in the Philippines are affected by this recall.
