Seminar on best practices in business protocol set
MANILA, Philippines - The Center for Global Best Practices in collaboration with the International Chamber of Commerce is holding a special seminar entitled, “Best Practices in Business Protocol” on Sept. 17, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Edsa Shangri-La Hotel, Mandaluyong City.
Protocol is the universal language of diplomacy. Knowing protocol enables one to handle any type of person in all kinds of situation. It is extremely useful in any kind of setting such as local or international transactions, dealing with government or corporate VIPs, handling all types of events including product launches, signing ceremonies, ribbon-cutting, conferences, business meetings, planning sessions, social and office events and many more.
This special program will feature Amb. Jose Abeto Zaide (Ret), the former chief of protocol of the Department of Foreign Affairs. As a career diplomat, he has 40 years of solid experience in diplomacy and foreign affairs, being assigned as Ambassador to the Federal Republic of Germany, Austria, Slovenia, Croatia and France.
Another speaker to be featured is Ruy Y. Moreno, who is presently vice-chairman of the Center for Global Best Practices and concurrently holds the positions of chairman of the Philippine-Myanmar Business Council, executive director of the International Chamber of Commerce Philippines, and director for operations of the private sector-National Competitiveness Council. He brings with him a wealth of experience having been the managing partner in Arthur Andersen Vietnam (1990-2000), the first honorary consul general of the Philippines in Ho Chi Minh City (1995-2000), and vice-president of RCBC (2001-2007).
The program will also feature Rizabel Cloma-Santos who will discuss protocol for spouses as she will talk about her experiences and best practices advices in her capacity as the wife of a former chief of protocol of Malacañang and the current ambassador to the Socialist Republic of Vietnam. Presently, she is also the president of PMI Colleges.
