MANILA, Philippines - Companies and organizations from over 55 countries and regions are set to meet on global business networking platform for information communication technology (ICT) in Asia in Singapore from June 15 to 18.

Dubbed CommunicAsia2010, the event is expected to push growth in ICT business in Asia as the Philippines sees ICT industry to rise to $3.14 and $3.81 billion in IT and telecommunication market spending, respectively, by end of 2010.

ICT players from the Philippines are looking to CommunicAsia2010 and BroadcastAsia2010 as ideal platform to seek and share skills, tools and best practices that can enhance the country’s telecommunications and broadcast space.

CommunicAsia2010 and BroadcastAsia2010 boasts of 58,000 square meters of exhibition space.

Visitors to expo shows this year will see the latest technology innovations by 2,000 multi-national corporations and small and medium enterprises.

Thirty-three international group pavilions will be spread across the show floor, reflecting the push by governments and industry bodies to expand their footprint into Asia.

“The unique co-location of CommunicAsia2010 and BroadcastAsia2010 presents the only platform of its kind that aptly addresses the convergence of telecommunications and broadcasting and brings together business leaders, government officials and trade professionals to network, discuss critical industry issues and explore opportunities for growth,” said Victor Wong, project director of communications events from show organizer, Singapore Exhibition Services, said.

This year’s CommunicAsia, with support of the Wireless Industry Partnership (WIP), will have a new developer pavilion featuring the latest mobile applications and WIPJam sessions – interactive discussions that open up the mobile ecosystem and connect developers with industry experts and decision makers.
