Globe's Cu is 2010 CEO Excel awardee

MANILA, Philippines - Globe president and CEO Ernest L. Cu was conferred the 2010 CEO Excel award for excellence in communications. 

Cu was acknowledged for advancing the reputation, enhancing profitability, and achieving the stakeholder objectives of Globe.

The recognition is given annually by the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) Philippines to chief executive officers, presidents or top-level executives of companies and organizations for their skillful use of communication strategies and tools to achieve business, environment or social development goals.

Cu joined Globe in October 2008 as deputy CEO and officially took the helm on April 2, 2009. He brought with him over two decades of general management and business development experience spanning multi-country operations.

An Ernst & Young ICT Entrepreneur of the Year awardee in 2003, Cu also had significant experience in the technological, marketing and financial aspects of electronic publishing and database management.

Cu was also named as one of the most trusted Filipinos in a nationwide survey conducted recently by Digital Edge on behalf of Reader’s Digest, a global multi-brand media and marketing company.
