Baguio as Ad Congress site under review
MANILA, Philippines - Committee members of the 21st Philippine Ad Congress (PAC) announced yesterday that the choice of Baguio City as the official venue of the congress is under review given its current state in the aftermath of typhoon Pepeng.
In response to inquiries, Margot Torres, overall chairman of the 21st PAC, released the following statement.
“Given recent typhoons, the 21st PAC committee is currently evaluating alternative venues to ensure safety of delegates, sponsors and exhibitors not just at the ad congress venue but the roads they need to take to travel to site. There is no final decision yet. We are still evaluating our option when it comes to venue.”
Torres said the schedule of the congress, which runs from Nov. 18 to 21, 2009, has not changed.
