Former IBM president joins Prople BPO Inc

MANILA, Philippines - Joaquin Quintos IV was recently appointed president and CEO of Prople BPO Inc. As a shareholder, he also joins the company’s board of directors.

Quintos was the former president of IBM Philippines. He recently availed of early retirement from IBM. A 27-year veteran at IBM, Quintos led IBM Philippines through a period of rapid growth. It was under his leadership that IBM opened its business process outsourcing operations in the Philippines. He started his IBM career as a systems engineer, rose through the ranks, and is credited for pioneering the Software and Services Division of IBM Philippines. He also worked with the IBM corporate headquarters in New York and Singapore. 

Quintos faced several opportunities but opted to join Prople, convinced that while the company may be considered small in the outsourcing space, its business platform and operational capabilities are at par with that of the major players in the industry.

Prople is a fast growing, privately held, Philippine-based business process outsourcing company that has recently expanded globally. With 13 years of experience, Prople is focused on finance and accounting outsourcing solutions with a client base that includes companies located in North America, Europe and Asia. Prople was launched in 2006 after its acquisition of Summersault, a Philippine based BPO and marketing services operation.
