Cebu Pacific hikes flights to Luzon, Visayas
MANILA, Philippines - Cebu Pacific (CEB), Asia’s third largest airline, will increase its frequencies to Catarman, Calbayog, Tuguegarao, and Naga starting Aug. 16, 2006, and its Kalibo service starting Aug. 1, 2009.
CEB will be offering a ‘Go Lite’ fare of P888 for its daily Manila to Catarman and Calbayog flights. The airline’s Manila to Naga service will be increased to thrice daily. ‘Go Lite’ fare for Naga starts at P588.
Passengers can also choose between morning and afternoon flights with the additional frequency for Tuguegarao. From daily flights, CEB will now fly 11 times weekly with a ‘Go Lite’ fare of P688.
CEB’s Manila to Kalibo service will also increase from 46 times weekly to seven times daily. Passengers can avail themselves of the lowest ‘Go Lite’ fare of P588.
Cebu Pacific vice president for marketing and distribution Candice Iyog said, “We hope the additional flights will provide even more convenience to our growing passenger base in Samar, Cagayan Valley, Bicol and Aklan. Passengers from neighboring areas can now have easier and faster access to Manila and our extensive Cebu Pacific network.”
“This is in line with our ever-present commitment to boost the economy and tourism in the destinations we fly to,” Iyog said.

Gokongwei-owned CEB has flown over 36 million passengers since its inception in 1996. It now flies to 32 domestic destinations and 14 Asian cities from four hubs, utilizing the youngest aircraft fleet in the Philippines.
