MANILA, Philippines - Vice President Noli de Castro, chairman of the Housing and Urban Development Coordinating Council (HUDCC), and Tourism Secretary Joseph H. Durano will be the guests of honor and speakers at the seventh monthly business meeting of the Chamber of Real Estate and Developers Associations (CREBA) at the World Trade Center, Roxas Blvd. which starts at noon of July 23.
CREBA national president Jaime A. Cura and vice president-internal afffairs Avelina P. Acuña said the CREBA meeting is in cooperation with the Philippine Real Estate Festival which is holding its 3rd Philippine Real Estate Festival on July 23-25 at the same venue.
De Castro will talk on “How the Philippines Escaped from the Subprime Mortgage Debacle” during the housing and real estate forum with the theme “Property Tourism – Why Should Smart Global Investors take a Close Look at the Philippines?” Earlier, Durano will discuss “Philippine Property Tourism – An Irresistible Magnet for the Glocal Tourist.”
Other speakers at the festival forum are Finance Secretary Margarito B. Teves, “Investment Outlook in the Philippines”; Antonio Aquino, president of Ayala Land, “Emerging Concepts and Approaches to Real Estate Investment for Diverse Markets in the Philippines”; Chairman Edgardo Aglipay, Philippine Retirement Authority (PRA), “Luring the Baby Boomers of the World”; and Director-General Lilia de Lima of the Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA), “Why Economic Zone Locators Stay in the Philippines.”
On July 24, Cura will speak on “How to Detect Fake Titles” during the second day of the Philippine Real Estate Festival. CREBA is the largest organization of the country’s real estate industry which includes developers and professionals with chapters nationwide and affiliates abroad. Principally founded by lawyer Manuel M. Serrano more than three decades ago, CREBA is a member of the International Real Estate Federation (FIABCI) based in Paris, France.
