SMB bags medals for 5 beer brands

MANILA, Philippines - Market leader San Miguel Brewery, Inc (SMB) once again bagged gold and silver medals for five of its beer brands – one of which is its newest product San Miguel Premium All- Malt Beer – in the Monde Selection Awards, said to be the most prestigious international award-giving body for finished food and beverage products. 

With barely eight months in the market, San Miguel Premium All-Malt Beer came out triumphant with a gold medal after securing the nod of Monde’s jury for its medium to full-bodied malty flavour, pleasant hoppy notes, sweetish taste and smooth balanced bitterness.

SMB’s flagship brand San Miguel Pale Pilsen and Cerveza Negra also received gold citations while Red Horse Beer and San Mig Light won a silver.

This year, SMB has increased its winning entrants as well as its stature and integrity in the beverage industry worldwide with the addition of the San Miguel Premium All-Malt Beer. “The Monde Awards further inspires SMB to preserve and maintain the iconic, world-class and award-winning status of our beer products in line with our thrust to continually lead the growth of the beverage industry,” said SMB assistant vice president and brewing technical group manager Rebecca S.
