PFA expo looms as 'largest' franchise event in Southeast Asia
MANILA, Philippines - The forthcoming expo of the Philippine Franchise Association (PFA) looms as this year’s largest franchise event in the Southeast Asian region.
This was announced by PFA chairman Bing S. Limjoco as she cited the more than 300 exhibitors joining Franchise 2009 at the SMX Convention Center on July 3 to 5.
“They (exhibitors) will occupy about a hectare (10,000 sqm) of exhibit space making it (Franchise 2009), not only bigger than last year’s, but also the biggest franchise show in the ASEAN (Association of Southeast Asian Nations),” Limjoco stressed.
Making up the expo are various pavilions for specific purposes, including a section each for emerging concepts, allied services, miscellaneous business opportunities, and young entrepreneurs.
There’s a pavilion for international franchises and another for the Department of Trade and Industry where visitors can inquire about how to start a business.
“Another is the Youth Entrepreneurship Pavilion that will showcase winning business concepts from various schools nationwide and may hopefully become future franchisors,” Limjoco pointed out.
She said the Resource Center Pavilion would showcase support services and business solutions for the franchising sector such as website developers, software associations, and animators, among others.
