UE offers new accounting course

MANILA, Philippines - The University of the East (UE) Manila and Caloocan campuses, starting SY 2009-2010, will offer the newly created Bachelor of Science in Accounting Technology (BSAcT) course to incoming freshmen. UE’s BSAcT program, which combines the concepts and principles of business accounting and information technology, responds to the steady, growing demand for highly competent manpower for finance-accounting outsourced services worldwide.

Graduates of the BSAcT may opt to join the dynamic, lucrative world of the business process outsourcing (BPO) industry, practice their desired profession in the shared accounting services environment, or work in industries that rely on computers and entrepreneurial planning (ERP) solutions.

The program also enables UE graduates to pursue the regular Bachelor of Science in Accountancy degree program after passing a comprehensive qualifying examination measuring their sound readiness to hurdle the CPA licensure examinations.
