Bayad Center, Cebu Pacific ink tie-up

-

MANILA, Philippines - CIS Bayad Center, Inc. (Bayad Center), through its over 900 branch counters nationwide, will soon accept cash payments for Cebu Pacific Air tickets reserved online or through the airline’s call center.

CIS Bayad Center president and CEO Manuel Lorenzo L. Tuason and Cebu Pacific president and chief executive officer Lance Y. Gokongwei recently formalized the partnership of their companies that is seen as another strategic move to further strengthen their respective and joint position in the mass market.

Under their partnership accord, CEB customers who made reservations online or through the airline’s call centers can go to any Bayad Center branch to pay for their reserved tickets within 24 hours.

Tuason said the scheme primarily targets CEB customers who do not have credit cards. They may then pay cash for their ticket reservations at any Bayad Center counter, after which CEB will email or text them to confirm their flight bookings.

Aida C. Yuvienco, vice president and head of sales, marketing and business development, said CEB and Bayad Center plan to stage a soft launch of their partnership scheme next month, even as they have on-going talks on expanding the partnership, particularly on the feasibility of appointing Bayad Center as sales agent of CEB.
