Indian outsourcing firm sets up RP facility

MANILA, Philippines - Cybernet-SlashSupport (CSS), an India-based global technology solutions provider, has established a facility in the Philippines to service its international clients.

The new facility, located in Bonifacio Global City in Taguig, will provide multilingual customer and technology support and is seen to complement its offshore facilities in India, US and Poland.

CSS plans to initially hire 100 technical support engineers in the Philippines over the next two months.

N. Raghuraman, head of CSS’s consumer services, said the group chose the Philippines due to its large base of competent people and high quality output and service Filipinos provide. 

“The Philippines has a large tech support talent pool with multilingual capabilities. The high quality of talent combined with friendly government policies and a robust infrastructure makes Taguig City an ideal location for our offshore expansion,” Raghuraman said.

Many foreign companies are outsourcing to the Philippines where the cost of labor is considerably lower.  Another advantage is the country’s large number of competent, English-speaking workforce.

Another factor is the Philippines’ ability to tackle specialized outsourcing services such as legal services, web design, software development, medical transcription and animation.

With a workforce of around 4,300 in Chennai, India, CSS provides technology, infrastructure, platforms and applications for Fortune 2000 companies, and provides 24x7 support solutions for leading enterprise, consumer and technology vendors.

The company also plans to launch an online training portal http://www.techcareer.ph with the objective of providing free technology and communication courses across select verticals in areas like Networking, wireless, OS, GPS and other consumer devices.

CSS is targeting to partner with universities and leading colleges in Philippines to provide their students with the opportunity to benefit from these high-end courses and to get placed as tech support executives at CSS.
