Philamlife, Smart tie up for new insurance product

MANILA, Philippines - For as low as P10, a Smart mobile phone subscriber can have an accident insurance worth P10,000 for 15 days.

Insurance market leader Philamlife is teaming up with Smart for a new product called Accident Insurance via Text Service (AKSITEXT), the first insurance product offered through text.

Postpaid and prepaid SMART subscribers can easily avail AKSITEXT by simply sending PHILAM AKSI ON <FirstName/MI/LastName/Address/Birthdate in mmddyyyy> to 8070. One Smart number can be used to register multiple individuals aging three to 65 years old. Once registered, the subscriber will receive a confirmation message with his complete name, certificate number, and coverage period. One transaction is valid for 15 days.
