The Philippine Postal Corp. (PhilPost) recently launched the unaddressed advertising mail service (UAMS) nationwide to help those in the marketing business and organizations reach their target market effectively without straining much of their advertising budget. The unique marketing tool is carried out by PhilPost letter carriers directly to doorstep of the target group/client whether the addressee lives in a condominium, subdivision, village or barangay. Each item shall be stamped or franked in a metering machine as a proof that the items passed through the Post Office. The UAMS can also be used as a database since the mail/campaign material can be sent along with reply envelope. Aside from being an effective tool in introducing a product to the market, there is no need to spend for labeling and printing of address. The fee is P5 for every mail weighing 50 grams and below. As an added service, PhilPost can also provide the list of number of households of a target group, upon request.
