The 20th Anniversary celebration of the French Chamber of Commerce in the Philippines Le Club led by French ambassador to the Philippines Gerard Chesnel was recently held at the Luzon Ballroom of the Sofitel Philippine Plaza. It was an evening of “detente” as members and friends of Le Club, along with prominent dignitaries, politicians, celebrities, members of the diplomatic corps and business community took time off from their busy schedules to take part in an exclusive cocktail reception, followed by an off-Broadway musical drama by Roger Peace, presenting the life and loves of Edith Piaf, Piaf: Love Conquers All. The affair also brought together five notable men who imparted invaluable contribution to Le Club FCC. Plaques of appreciation were given to Rene Cristobal, Guillermo Luz, Aurelio Montinola, Cesar Purisima and your columnist. Congratulations, Messieurs!

A Masterpiece Series

It was a truly magnificent event as BMW once again launched another spectacular vehicle – the newest BMW 7 Series. The event took place in the highly modern showroom of Performance Motors Limited in Singapore as only a select group of individuals were flown in by BMW Philippines to attend the private unveiling. Economic Conference at Dusit Thani Manila

Philippine Hoteliers Incorporated president Gerhard Kropp (left), owning company of Dusit Thani Manila, as he welcomed Her Excellency President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo at Dusit Thani Manila. President Arroyo was the guest speaker at the recently concluded Economic Conferences: Business Roundtable with the Government of the Philippines where she discussed the government’s plan and issues with regard to the country’s economy.
