Insular Life names new EVP

Insular Life chairman of the board and CEO Vicente R. Ayllón recently announced the appointment of Jesus Alfonso G. Hofileña as the company’s new executive vice president and Head of its Sales and Marketing Operations Group.

As head of the Sales and Marketing Group, Hofileña is tasked to lead the division in setting strategic directions, establishing performance standards and targets, and implementing integrated marketing and sales programs in line with the company’s corporate objectives.

Hofileña is a seasoned executive having served in several top-ranking life insurance and pre-need companies. He built his expertise in marketing and sales, beginning as a regional sales promotion manager and later on becoming director of sales. He was director of agencies for over 10 years, before finally serving as head of sales, marketing and training.

He holds a Fellow of Life Management Institute designation, specializing in Management Science, and is a LIMRA Leadership Institute Fellow. Hofileña is a long-time member of the Management Association of the Philippines, the country’s premier management association. He has served as director of the Philippine Federation of Pre-need Plans Companies, Inc., and as president of the FLMI Society of the Philippines.

He graduated from Ateneo de Manila University, summa cum laude and class valedictorian, with a degree in Psychology.
