Smart unveils ‘zone connect kiosks’

Subscribers of leading wireless services provider Smart Communications Inc. now have more reason to enjoy their visit at selected Smart wireless centers with the new zone connect kiosks — a unique line of automated machines designed to cater to subscribers’ varying mobile needs.

Smart officials explained that zone connect kiosks give subscribers the option to try out the newest handsets, download best-selling logos and tones, and transact business online. The Zone Connect Kiosks, which are available in nine Smart wireless centers nationwide, are "first-of-its-kind" machines. They include the download connect, celfone connect, info connect, service connect, load connect and payment connect.

With download Connect, users may download their favorite caller ringtunes, ringtones, MMS and logos, as well as picture messages from a wide-array of choices.

"The celfone connect kiosk is perfect for anyone who wants a new celfone. Anyone can go there to virtually try the coolest mobile phones. If you want to replace your old celfone but have not decided which suits your needs and personality, simply go there and compare different phone features. For those who want to avail of Smart’s postpaid celfone packages, the kiosk is also the best place to go to," according to Eden Techico, head of Smart wireless center operations.

Postpaid subscribers may go to the service connect kiosk for select after-sales concerns — GPRS setting, voicemail activation, change of billing address. Subscribers may also try the load connect kiosk to reload their Smart Money cards, or to load up prepaid airtime.

For information on Smart promos, products, and services, subscribers can go to the info connect kiosk — a touch-screen machine that gives allows users to discover and be informed on the many innovations of Smart.

Initially set up in nine Smart wireless centers, the zone connect Kiosks can be found in the following locations: Smart Tower, Ayala Ave., Makati City; SM North Edsa, Quezon City; SM Manila, Manila; Robinson’s Ermita, Manila; SM Fairview, Quezon City; SM Dasmariñas, Cavite; Nepo Mall Dagupan, Pangasinan; SM Iloilo, Iloilo City; and Emall in Cebu City.
