June 19, 2006 | 12:00am
Riding on the success of Fil-Negosyo Expo last year, the same event will be staged this year from June 23 to July 2 at Megatrade Hall 2 of SM Megamall in Mandaluyong.
This years event promises to be a more dynamic and larger 10-day activity, featuring small and medium enterprises (SMEs) that offer varied products and services, said Mitch Ballesteros, project director of Ex-Link Corp., appointed by Megatrade as the official event manager and marketing partner.
"The event has a little of everything that challenges our creativity as Filipinos with unlimited concepts," Ballesteros said.
For her part, Beth Garbo, exhibit manager of the Megatrade Hall, said the event showcases Filipino business ideas that serve as a confluence of Filipinos looking for business seminars to improve their competence in the world market.
Inspired by feedback from foreign buyers who, since the first expo have witnessed this business affair, Ballesteros said the upcoming Fil-Negosyo Expo 2006 is a "festival of business ideas" categorized as follows: free seminars and training extended by different organizations, government agencies, product presentations and give-aways, encounters with business experts, product samplings, on-the-spot raffles, free food testing and networking sessions, among others.
Seasoned business experts will also be in the event to share tips and experiences. Hermie del Rosario, Philippine Marketing Association officer, will talk about "Marketing your Business during Challenging Times," Jonas de Vera of Yehey.com will talk about "Increasing sales through on-line advertising"; Lourdes Rivera, Phil. Meat Processing guru, will conduct meat processing lecture-demo; Aya Laraya, certified investment representative/realtor, Ex-Link Corp., will also discuss "Importance of trade show participation among SMEs"; Rudolf Kotik of RK Franchise Consultancy will lecture on "Choosing your franchise business"; while Francis Cardona of Asenso Pinoy ABC 5 is the forum mediator for business forum.
Free seminars also await interested persons, as well as entrepreneurs who want to enhance their theoretical business competence. These will be conducted by reputable agencies and companies such as TLRC, Ultima Entrepinoy, Insol Foundation, Convergent Consulting, Business Maker Academy, and RK Franchise Consultancy.
Interested parties may call Ex-link Corp. at 6433887, 6401280, 6412814, text 0920-9242532 or email: [email protected] for further details.
