Senior citizens brawl

Eye-spies reported that there was a brawl at Conway’s Bar of Makati Shangri-La the other night between two elderly men, both of whom were in their sixties. Apparently there was a tiff on who should get to seat on a table. The two are well-known people from the upper crust of society. One is Arthur Antonino, a member of the Antonino political clan, while the other is Ariel de Borja, a protégé of former energy secretary Geronimo Velasco. Both reportedly slugged it out and kicked each other, and one broke a glass on the other’s head until cooler heads intervened and stopped the fight. It looks like these two senior citizens have not outgrown the old days of the ’60s. Apparently, listening to the music of the sixties made them think they were still teenyboppers.
New carjacking M.O.
Informants have sent an advisory to warn people about a new modus operandi by carjackers. The new method makes use of a piece of paper stuck in the middle of the car window to call the attention of the driver as he prepares to bring the car out of the parking area. The piece of paper obstructs the driver’s view, compelling him to get out of the car to remove that irritating obstruction. As soon as the driver gets out, the waiting carjackers appear out of nowhere, jump into the car and take off. As the engine would have been most probably running, the carjackers practically mow down the driver as they speed off with the car and precious belongings inside like cellphones and wallets, including personal details like the owners’ home address. As they say, forewarned is forearmed.
Greedy bus company
The March 29 bus explosion in Digos City that resulted in the injury of 17 passengers, including an army sergeant is suspected of being the handiwork of the New People’s Army (NPA), which was celebrating its 37th founding anniversary on the day of the explosion. A day before, a National Democratic Front (NDF) spokesman had vowed to step up attacks to force President Arroyo to resign. Sources, however, opined that the bomb could have been planted by individuals or groups other than the NPA. The bus company is allegedly hated by many passengers because conductors charge full rates even for infants carried by their mothers, in contrast with other buses that don’t charge a single penny. Conductors and drivers are detested for being matakaw (greedy) reportedly because they allow people to board even if the bus is already teeming with passengers. While many bewail the fact that the explosion harmed innocent civilians, sources said there’s little sympathy felt for the bus company.
Crocodile Skinned
Either this individual is crocodile skinned or he simply has a difficult time accepting the fact that he is no longer a government official. According to Eye-spies, this man still goes to his former office and allegedly uses telephones, computers and other government office equipment to prepare his pleadings, motions, memoranda and other things for his very private practice.

This man is now allegedly known as a fixer, using his former connections to wangle favorable decisions for clients. He reportedly likes working in the office of a former female colleague who is a close friend.

Other officials are allegedly getting irritated because this man even has the nerve to park his car (a Mazda) in the slots reserved for those still in active government service.
Spy Tidbiz: For Official Use Also
The Spy-ring spotted an ambulance marked "Municipality of San Roque, Northern Samar" leisurely weaving its way through traffic along E. Rodriguez in Pasig. There must have been a real emergency that necessitated bringing the vehicle all the way from Bicol to Metro Manila.

Imagine the amusement and irritation of the Spy-ring when they saw the big balikbayan boxes occupying the ambulance. Wonder what the San Roque Mayor - whose name is prominently emblazoned on the vehicle - has to say about this.
