HVC Motors to assemble brand new buses

HVC Motors Corp. (HVCMC), a newly established company, will infuse P352 million worth of investments in the Subic Bay Freeport to assemble and distribute brand new passenger buses.

Parts for the buses will be imported from the People’s Republic of China and will be assembled in HVCMC’s leased facility located at the Subic Bay Freeport.

HVCMC will initially assemble 24 to 29-seater buses in its first year of operation and will subsequently assemble much bigger buses with a seating capacity of up to 49 passengers.

HVCMC’s assembly plant is a 3,700 square meter space at Building 3 corner of Schley St. and Riviera Point, Ship Repair Facility (SRF) Compound.

HVCMC is leasing the space from Global Terminals and Development Inc. (GTDI).

The buses is intended for export to Panama, Costa Rica, Thailand and other countries that have existing business relationship with the HVC Group of Companies.

The HVC Group of Companies is comprised of the Subic Bay Medical Center Inc., Health Vision Corporation, HVC Security Servicews Inc., Sterling Distilled Water Corporation and a few other firms.

Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority (SBMA) chairman Felicito Payumo welcomed HVCMC’s investment as it would create more jobs inside the Freeport.
