FPJ running out of gas

SPYBIZ - S.A. Maguire -
The KNP, reported an Eye-spy, is fast running out of money. The big businessmen who pledged campaign funds are suddenly nowhere to be found. Most of them are either not returning calls or giving the excuse that they are abroad. This is the reason why some political strategists think that it is important for FPJ to team up with Ping Lacson, whose funds continue to flow in. An agreement between the two will give FPJ a better chance of winning and of getting his votes counted. Two months ago, when they were riding high, a businessman asked an ASO gang member if he could meet FPJ and contribute P1-M. The ASO turned down his request saying that the amount was too small. Out of disgust, the businessman contributed P4-M to the other side. With that kind of attitude, FPJ has only himself and his arrogant cordon sanitaire to blame.
Top-Notch Plans For Mindanao
An ear-spy from a top graduate school in Makati, which is the prime capitalist tool in the region, disclosed that Americans have been flocking to its policy center lately. The conga line of foreigners was explained by an innovative paper dealing with a comprehensive and innovative approach to developing Mindanao. The revived Brunei-Indonesia-Malaysia-Philippines East Asian Growth Area (BIMP-EAGA) could benefit from this plan. BIMP-EAGA and the Asian Development Bank (ADB) specifically identified Mindanao and Palawan as the likeliest recipients of foreign direct investments (FDIs). The ADB has a development budget for every ASEAN nation, but it hasn’t released one for the Philippines because no one has provided a coherent security strategy for the country yet. Not until now. It would be advisable for the next Administration to study this paper in order to make the promise that is Mindanao a reality.
Maritime Merlin Exposé, Part 2
Our maritime spyring’s dossier on this previously-profiled character revealed that he has resurfaced to train his sights on shipping companies. He accuses them as responsible for his getting fired by PCCI and AGILE. Now, he is citing their monopoly as the prime reason for the shipping industry’s slow progress and the high cost of goods. He has found a willing spokeswoman in the person of a doctor of a reputable university’s business and economics think-tank. Of late, this doctor has been churning out press releases on an existing monopoly in the shipping industry. These press releases ask the government to sustain its deregulation efforts and to put a cap on return of investments.

These articles have puzzled the shipping industry. Perhaps, she thinks that shipping operations are similar in set-up and investment to the old "mom & pop" stores. And to think that she earned her doctorate degree with this thesis. We also learned that when she was still working on her doctorate two years ago, this doctor invited representatives from the Marina, PPA, and other government agencies for a dissertation presentation. She reportedly used data, which was five or six years old, and applied them to then situation. Naturally, she was grilled beyond recognition by her invited panel of reactors. However, she still managed to get her doctorate degree despite that flap. Now, she has formed an alliance with the only person who took her thesis seriously, the Maritime Merlin. It would be wise for her to keep in mind that the charlatan she has forged a partnership with is a proven expert in his field. An expert in sinking ships.
The ‘Oys’ Have It
Our stunning, long-haired Eye-spy attended a P10,000-per-plate dinner-dance for Jinggoy Estrada last April 26 at the Century Park Sheraton. She reported that it was well-attended with around 1,500 guests mostly from the Chinese community. The other guests were composed of Erap supporters, the Mare Club, and San Juan residents. In his speech, Jinggoy thanked his supporters and aired his optimism over his impending victory because of high ratings. It looks like the "oys" have it.
