Inventor develops new fuel product

An award-winning inventor has developed a new fuel product.

The inventor, Rudy N. Lantano, used his patented invention called Agitating Reactor Machines in developing the new product, which he named RL ReLoaded Fuel.

Lantano is the 1996 WIPO (World Intellectual Property Office) gold medal awardee (Most Outstanding Invention) for his creation called SBF-L (Super Bunker Formula-L), a mixture of bunker fuel and 20-40 percent water.

RL ReLoaded Fuel is compatible with all kinds of internal combustion diesel and marine engines, it was reported by the Department of Science and Technology (DOST).

Users of the fuel will get several plus factor benefits such as decrease in fuel prices and fuel consumption, low sulfur content, thus, it is environment-friendly; built-in lubricant that protects and prolongs engine life; and has a lower flashpoint than the ordinary diesel fuel, resulting in easier starting and increase in combustion power.

However, one liter of the fuel can cover 10 kilometers on C220 engine.

The fuel requires a special kind of fuel filter also manufactured by the inventor. RL ReLoaded Fuel can be used interchangeably with conventional diesel using the special fuel filter.

At present, DOST reported, the fuel is available at the Lan-Gas Station Bicutan but will soon be at all Flying V gas stations.

Commercial production is still minimal, but Lantano said he could meet demand of two million liters per day. He plans to expand his technology to Visayas and Mindanao.

The inventor said that by providing low-cost fuel to the people, much savings can be made and a multiplier effect to stimulate demand, production, income, and consumption can be created.

"Industrial users, including diesel-powered energy sector, will be most benefited from this new fuel product," Lantano said.
