Deutsche Bank tops surveys

Deutsche Bank Manila was ranked as the top agent bank in the country for the fifth consecutive year, based on the results of the Annual Survey of Emerging Markets by Global Custodian Magazine.

The bank also received the highest score among the four top-rated custodian banks in the 2003 survey. The poll cited Deutsche Bank Manila’s strength in the domestic market as the major area where the bank has been making a name in recent years.

According to the survey, the said strategy has been paying off and sthe bank has cemented a place in the market where it was able to leverage additional international business. Respondents of the poll rated Deutsche Bank Manila’s quality of service as excellent and added: "High caliber and knowledgeable personnel of Deutsche Bank Manila quickly respond to their clients’ problems and needs. The bank is equipped with the latest technology, which helps clients easily access the information they need." They also gave high remarks to the bank’s personnel, citing them as "very accommodating and have excellent knowledge of their jobs".

Separately, Deutsche Bank’s trust department received top honors for best performance in the investment of retirement funds. The poll, conducted by Watson Wyatt Philippines, Inc., was the latest survey on investment performance of retirement funds for the third quarter of 2003. The department ranked first in terms of return on investments (ROI) generated for trusteed funds among eight fund managers represented in the poll.

Deutsche Bank in Manila has made significant inroads in the local trust and fiduciary industry, significantly growing the franchise since it first started business in 1997. Moreover, the bank’s global and local experience have enabled it to expand and diversify its client base, now consisting of leading multinational corporations and local companies.
