East West Bank opens 4th branch in Makati

East West Bank, one of the country’s fastest growing full-service commercial banks, opens its 54th Personalized Banking Center (PBC) located at Salcedo Street, Legaspi Village in Makati City.

The Salcedo-Makati PBC is the fourth East West branch servicing the Makati area. The three existing East West Bank branches in Makati include: Main PBC in 6795 Ayala Ave. cor. Herrera St.; Sen. Gil Puyat PBC; and Pasong Tamo PBC. Another branch in the vicinity opening soon is the Valero Street-Makati PBC.

The previous months likewise saw East West Bank expanding its network in Cebu, Angeles and Metro Manila while experiencing major developments in line with its recent acquisition of Ecology Bank. Recently, the bank reported that its Calumpang-Marikina PBC (formerly Ecology Bank branch) has been fully converted and integrated into the East West Bank network.

Approaching its 10th year in 2004, there is no stopping East West Bank in making its presence felt nationwide. "We hope beyond that we will be able to obtain more branch licenses and bring up the level of our branches from 77 to around 100 by end of 2005 and 2006 or within five years," said Elrey T. Ramos, president and chief operating officer of East West Bank.
