Biznews Financial Gazette has announced that Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) Associate Commissioner Jesus Enrique G. Martinez will write a column for the weekly paper starting next week.
Martinez will take the place of the late SEC Chairperson Rosario N. Lopez whose columns on the legal points confronting SEC related and corporate issues have been cited for their insights and informative value.
Biznews readers are expected to profit from the columns of Martinez, who earned his spurs in corporate law with special emphasis on contracts and investment negotiations.
The SEC official, who was appointed to the commission by President Arroyo, was corporate counsel for various local and transnational corporations prior to his SEC stint. He also did advisory work for the formation of local and foreign corporate entities.
Biznews, a weekly paper that first saw print on Sept. 16, 2002, is edited by Lito U. Gagni, a veteran business writer and editor.
