Pilipinas Shell CEO takes charge of Shell regional operations

Shell companies in the Philippines country chairman and Pilipinas Shell Petroleum Corp. president Eliseo B. Santiago has recently been appointed as vice president for Manufacturing, Supply and Distribution (MSD) of Shells Oil Products business in the East Zone covering more than 20 countries in Asia, Australia and the Middle East.
Santiago was honored and congratulated in his new assignment recently in a gathering of Shell customers and business partners held recently in Makati City.
As vice president for MSD, Santiago is responsible for Shells oil refining business and its extensive product supply and distribution network in the East Zone, the largest among the oil majors in this part of the world.
Shell has interests and/or operational control in nine oil refineries with total capacity of some 1.4 million barrels per day. Shell also operates 130 depots to ensure the safe, efficient and reliable delivery of petroleum products to its many customers and to its vast retail network throughout the zone. As regional vice president, Santiago will be based in Singapore.
In his two-year stint as chairman of Shell in the Philippines, Santiago was accountable for the local Shell businesses. The Shell businesses in the Philippines include oil products, exploration and production, chemicals, and solar. Shell is also very active in community development through Pilipinas Shell Foundation Inc.
Edgar O. Chua, former Pilipinas Shell Petroleum Corp. vice president for Marketing and Shell Oil products East general manager for Consumer Lubricants, succeeded Santiago as Shell companies in the Philippines country chairman.
