Aboitiz One inks pact with PNB

Aboitiz One and the Philippine National Bank (PNB) formalized their partnership in the money remittance service during a contract signing at the PNB Roxas Boulevard office recently.

Aboitiz One will serve as a door-to-door delivery arm of remittances coursed through PNB by overseas Filipino workers (OFWs).

The Aboitiz One-PNB money remittance service uses the latest technological advances in the tracking and tracing of shipments. The facility, known as e-Trace, was developed in-house by Aboitiz One to help inform clients of the status of their transactions.

Clients can either log on to the Aboitiz One website (www.aboitiz.com.ph) or send messages via SMS service to inquire. They are then informed of the delivery status of their cargo or documents. If the shipment is still for delivery or is still in-transit at the time the inquiry was made, the system will automatically send the details via email or text once the delivery process is fulfilled. The SMS service is available through both Globe and Smart networks and is also open to clients inquiring from international locations.

Present in the signing were Aboitiz One president and CEO Sabin M. Aboitiz, COO Efren E. Uy, PNB president Lorenzo Tan and COO Anthony Chua as well as other various top level officers and managers of the two companies.

Aboitiz called the landmark agreement "a renewal of old ties, a strengthening of partnerships" and "a united effort to help the cause of the Filipino specially our heroes the OFWs by providing them the best money remittance service possible."
