President GMA lauds COMMWORLD 2003

President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo recently sent her warmest felicitations and exhorted the exhibitors, sponsors and prospective investors to the International, Electronics, Information Technology and E-Commerce Exhibition and Conference (COMMWORLD 2003) and 3rd International Pro Audio, Light, Music and Movie Exhibition and Conference (PALMM 2003) to be held at the World Trade Center Metro Manila from November 6-8, 2003.
President Macapagal-Arroyo said that these events underscore their sincere commitment to work together to promote and enhance the growth of ICT, E-Commerce, electronics and entertainment technology.
"The growth of these sectors in the Philippines will serve as a good foundation for the strength and competitiveness of the economy. This will bolster our vision of making our country a leader in ICT and related technologies in the region. I urge you to continue keeping the quality of your services and products at par with world class standards. Let us continue working together for economic and equitable growth," President Arroyo said.
According to Jing Lagandaon, Deputy Managing Director of the organizer of the shows, Global-Link Marketing & Management Services, Inc., (GMM), the three-day affair is a showcase of technology, services, gadgets and accessories in one of our fastest growing industries. The shows have attracted over 180 exhibitors occupying over 6,000 sq. m of indoor and outdoor exhibition space with foreign support coming from the U.S. Commercial Service, the Canadian Embassy and Kotra (Korea Trade Office). Exhibitors are coming from 18 countries including Australia, Austria, Canada, China, Denmark, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan, United Kingdom, United States and the Philippines.
Among the event highlights are a special performance by Gary Valenciano during the opening ceremonies on Nov. 6, outdoor audio demonstrations by top brands (Line Array Technology & Conventional Speakers), moving head shootout and daily performances by champion DJs in the country and over 20 free product demonstrations and seminars on exhibited related products and services.
