Lopez-owned Bayan Telecommunications Inc. (BayanTel) continues to strengthen its position as the leading Internet service provider with the launch of Stretch, which it considers as the most affordable unlimited dial-up Internet access offered by any telecommunication company in the market today.
Stretch is priced at an all-inclusive rate of P1,299 a month for unlimited dial-up Internet access, Stretch can be accessed from either a BayanTel telephone or any other telephone provider and is suited for small businesses and even individuals who are heavy Internet users. For this cost, Stretch subscribers also get five e-mail accounts with a maximum capacity of 4MB for each account and multiple Internet accounts are available for each customer.
Junie Pama, BayanTel vice president for corporate and business markets, said that as its name suggests, Stretch stretches the limits of both what most dial-up Internet access services in the market deliver by offering affordable, accessible, and reliable service.
"Because of its best-in-class attributes, we are confident Stretch will corner a significant share of the dial-up Internet access service market segment," he stressed.
Pama also explained that because of costs constraints, most small businesses access the Internet through dial-up connection either using prepaid Internet cards or services that offer limited hours for a monthly rate, with excess hours charged separately. But by offering unlimited access at reasonable rates, he believes Stretch offers small businesses and individual users better value for money and more convenience in the long term.
"With the launch of Stretch, we believe BayanTel now offers the widest array of dial-up and broadband Internet access services, offering focused value and brand propositions to specific target markets such as individual users, small and medium sized businesses, and large scale corporations," Pama said.
