Census Serbilis Centers in the key cities of General Santos, Bacolod and Dumaguete are now open. This means that residents in these areas can now secure copies of civil registry documents as among the requirements for securing passport, visas and for other purposes from the NSO.
There are now a total of 23 Serbilis Centers nationwide since the implementation of these outlets since September 2001 under the NSO-Civil Registry System (CRS) computerization project. Prior to the three newly opened sites, there are already Serbilis Centers operational in strategic locations in Luzon (cities of Baguio, Legaspi, Lipa, Lucena, San Fernando in La Union and in Pampanga, and Tuguegarao), Visayas (cities of Cebu, Iloilo and Tacloban) and Mindanao (cities of Butuan, Cagayan de Oro, Cotabato, Davao and Zamboanga).
In Metro Manila, Serbilis Centers have been established in 2001 in the city halls of Caloocan, Makati, Muntinlupa, Pasig and in Pasay City, along Roxas Boulevard directly across the Department of Foreign Affairs building in addition to the central outlet in Quezon City. All these Serbilis Centers are online and can provide all civil registry services such as the issuance of certified copies and authentication of civil registry documents including certificate of no marriage record or CENOMAR.
